B”H I recently found these blue pointy shoes at the clearance aisle in DSW and gifted them to myself for the upcoming holiday of Pesach (Passover). The Talmud does say that a woman needs new clothes and jewelry for the Holidays. I take this mitzvah very seriously ;-) Recientemente me compré estos zapatos puntiagudos azules que encontré en rebaja, como regalito de Pesaj. El Talmud dice que la mujer necesita

Rivki Makeup Artistry’s Booth
B”H About two months ago, my friend and makeup artist, Rivki, booked me to help her style her booth at a JCC Women in Business Fair. Having worked with her before and being that she’s client pretty much perfect, I gave her a quick resounding yes and got to work. I remembered this post from Candice at Lots of Lovely. I wanted to re-create Candice’s bar cart concept, as it would add
A View From My Lens || Un vistazo a traves de mi lente
B”H Shavua Tov, my friends! It’s finally starting to feel like Spring around here. Yes! However, I’m not sure if it’s the blooming trees or the dust that came with the pre-Pesach decluttering, but I got hit by major allergies, last week. Nothing a little medicine can’t help with ;-) and we’re moving along… ¡Shavua Tov, amigas! Finalmente, parece que llegó la primavera por aquí. ¡Yey! Aunque les cuento, que no

Increasing in Joy
B”H Happy Rosh Chodesh Adar! The Talmud tells us that once the month of Adar enters, we increase in simcha (joy)- “Mi Shenichnas Adar, Marvim B’Simcha“. I have much to be joyful about this month, and in Rosh Chodesh in particular, because I got married to my dear husband on Rosh Chodesh Adar. Yes, tomorrow is our tenth wedding anniversary! (This month has two days of Rosh Chodesh– today, the last
Table Setting Surprise || Una mesa sorprendente
B”H Shavua Tov, my friends! How is everybody doing? Are you feeling the busyness of this time of year as much as I am? I’m holding on to my dear calendar/agenda because it’s getting pretty busy around here, and I must keep sane. So let me tell you about my new surprising discovery, which will be another tool to keep my sanity. ¡Shavua Tov, amigas! ¿Cómo están? ¿Sienten cuan ajetreado
A Festive Drink: Bul/Sangria ||Una bebida festiva: bul/sangría
B”H I’m a big fan of a fruity drink like a bul (pronounced “bool”) or sangria. In Puerto Rico we call it “bul” (“bulles” plural) rather than punch. If it includes wine and other alcohol then we just call it “sangría.” I make it for any festive occasion- a women’s gathering, bridal shower, birthday celebrations, and so on. It’s pretty much no fail and always a hit (and you all know from
