Hello everyone! Well, apparently, I overdid it at the Nishei Chabad Convention this past weekend in San Antonio, because I woke up Monday morning with a terrible head cold. To top it off, last night, my good friend had a birthday party that involved none-other than one of my favorite things, Zumba! And you know I couldn’t miss it. Well, guess who couldn’t move this morning? Yeah, well since Thanksgiving is the theme of the week, let me say loud and clear: Thank G-d for my cooperative children and husband!!! Because I’m feeling pretty awful. But, you don’t want to hear about my cold. What you really want to hear about is… My Birthday Gift! Do you want to know how much I raised!?
A whooping $3,282 dollars. Yes, your total contributions were $1,641 and with my matching that adds up to $3,282. Despite my head cold, I was jumping with joy Monday morning. If my bones stop aching, I will get myself over to Aishel House on Wednesday to hand over the check. Aishel House was so excited when I told them the amount on Monday. This was their reaction:
I seriously couldn’t be more grateful and overwhelmed with joy. THANK YOU to all of you who supported my campaign and THANK YOU for all the words of support, encouragement and birthday wishes. I’m so glad that this was the Party that I threw myself for my birthday. Speaking of which, did you catch my piece on The Jewish Herald Voice: My Ode to Turning the Big 4-0? It’s here.
Any tips to combat a cold ASAP? I really need to get out of bed and get moving.
