Thanksgiving Gift-Giving

Jewish Latin Princess at Aishel House

B”H

Most of you know by now about my Birthday Bash – or rather the Birthday Tzedakah Campaign that I launched for my 40th Birthday. Despite having a terrible cold, today I dragged myself out of bed and headed to Aishel House to hand over the Birthday Gift that many of you made possible. I am so grateful to all of you and to G-d for allowing me the opportunity to do this, and of course, to Aishel House. Aishel House and it’s founders, Rabbi and Rochel Lazaroff, never cease to inspire me. The building is looking amazing. I can’t way until the opening on December 4th. Everyone is invited to the opening on Sunday, December 4 from 12:30-2:30 pm. Every single detail has been thought of to make this a special place for patients and their families when they come to the Texas Medical Center. The average stay at Aishel House is two months, sometimes more, sometimes less. Aishel House, your kindness inspires us all to be better! Thank You!

And here are some pictures of today.

Cuentenme…

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

What an honor to be interviewed by Yael. In my eyes, Yael's show is a place to glorify Judaism and the Jewish way of life, and I am humbled to have been invited to share my passion. Yael made me feel so comfortable and confident. Her easy going upbeat energy was felt way across the globe as if I was sitting right there next to her. I loved being part of your podcast, I had no idea what to expect and it was refreshing as a Jewish woman to participate in your podcast. Your questions related to what I do, combined with Judaism gave me a lot to think about. I love getting new questions instead of the typical “why did you start the project?” which is important but I’m glad you gave it a twist. I hope your listeners enjoy the interview as much as I enjoyed being part of it! Thanks for challenging me to think about my topic and religion as one.
