You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m your host, Yael Trusch, welcome back everyone! And if you’re new to the show, well welcome! I know that after my presentation, Insights from a Celebrated Podcast Host, which I gave a few weeks ago at the 14th Annual National Jewish Retreat and which you may have heard on Episode 105 of this podcast, I have a few new listeners, so welcome to the show. Happy to have you here joining us. My guest today is Lindsey Pollak. She’s a leading expert on the millennial generation and today’s multi-generational workplace. Lindsey is a New York Times bestselling author of Becoming The Boss – New Rules for the Next Generation of Leaders, and Getting from College to Career: Your Essential Guide to Succeeding in the World. And she’s just launched her new book, The Remix: How to Lead and Succeed in the Multigenerational Workplace. Lindsey has spoken at Facebook, LinkedIn, Yale, Harvard, Wharton, Stanford. She’s been on The Today Show, The New York Times CNN NPR and now I’m proud to say, Jewish Latin Princess.
She’s often called a translator, she advises organizations and individuals on how to thrive in today’s multigenerational workplace. We talk about what that looks like today, how that multigenerational workplace is unique, something unprecedented. And what are some of the keys to multigenerational success in the workplace. The roles of fundamentals and what does change really look like when embraced properly. What we can learn from Millennials, as well as what they can be doing better. Lindsey says, the onus is not all on the older generation. We all have a responsibility to manage relationships with our co-workers from different generations. So, how do we do that in the best way possible? Lindsey is here to tell us. And, what do you know, a lot of it goes back to a fundamental Jewish idea. So, let’s hear her, here we go ladies, here’s Lindsey Pollak.
