You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess and this is our 60th episode! Welcome back everybody I’m Yael Trusch your host, as always happy to be here. To celebrate the big 60, today we switch gears to Art. Today, I have one of my favorite artists, Mrs. Barbara Hines. Barbara is a world renowned artist who discovered her Jewish identity while her children were already teenagers. She was born in Germany and grew up in Australia, not knowing that both her parents had survived the Holocaust. They hid their identity, and the first time she encountered Jews was in college. But that’s not what did it. What was the turning point? How did she eventually find out that she is in fact a Jewish woman? What was the transition to a Jewish lifestyle like? What about her husband and children? And what about her art? How has Judaism informed it? Barbara is extremely prolific. How does the creative process happen for her? No, really, practically speaking, and what is she working on now? What’s in the artist’s mind? And what is her take on charity? Wait till you hear that! Admirable and Inspiring, here’s Barbara Hines.
