Bat Mitzvah Inspiration || Inspiración para Bat Mitzva

Hello everyone! I’ve missed the blog this past week! The good news is that although I’ve been away, I have been working hard on nice changes here at JewishLatinPrincess. Ok, let’s play a game. How many of you noticed that the JLP logo changed!? Leave me a comment naming the changes to the logo haha… Let’s see who has an eye for detail! Thank you to the amazing Melinda of Design and Enhance with her help with the tweaks to the JLP logo.

¡Hola a todas! ¡He extrañado el blog esta semana! Lo bueno es que aunque he estado “fuera,” he estado trabajando mucho en lindos cambios a JewishLatinPrincess. Ah, juguemos un juego. ¿Cuántas se dieron cuenta que cambié el logo un poco? Déjenme un comentario diciéndome cuales fueron los cambios al logo, jajaja… veamos quién tiene un buen ojo para los detalles :-) Gracias a la maravillosa Melinda de Design and Enhance por su ayuda con los cambios en el logo de JLP.

One of the exciting things going on around here is a Bat Mitzvah that I’ll be styling in a few months. The event will be a back yard, afternoon, ladies luncheon. I am totally loving the direction this one is taking. I defined the following concept with my super sweet client:

• Beautiful, with a fun, youthful flair (youthful, but not infantile)
• Create an ambiance that both the adults and the younger girls appreciate, and can feel comfortable in.

Una de las cosas emocionantes en las cuales estoy trabajando es en diseñar una fiesta de Bat Mitzva. Va a ser un almuerzo para mujeres, en un patio hermoso. Estoy enamorada de la dirección que esta tomando este proyecto. El concepto que definí con mi clienta es el siguiente:

• Bello, con un aire divertido y juvenil (juvenil, pero no infantil)
• Crear un ambiente en el cual las mujeres adultas y las chicas jóvenes (de la edad de la Bat Mitzva) se sientan cómodas y el cual ambas generaciones puedan apreciar. 

We decided on a Mint, Coral and Gold color scheme. Here is the mood board I created as inspiration for the event.

Miren que bella la combinación de verde menta, coral y dorado que voy a usar para la fiesta.

I looked everywhere for mint table cloths for the tables, but couldn’t find the shade of mint that I wanted. Then, I spotted beautiful cotton coral tablecloths at a local store and everything started moving from there. The color is very similar to this one:

Busqué en todas partes un mantel color verde menta para las mesas pero no encontré lo que quería. Cuando descubrí uno en un lindo algodón el exacto rosado coral que quería utilizar, todo empezó a tomar forma. El color es muy similar a este:

I had told you here that one day I wanted to use confetti filled balloons for a Bat Mitzvah, didn’t I? Now is my chance!

Hace meses les dije aquí que quería algún día utilizar una bombas llenas de confeti para un Bat Mitzvah. ;-) ¡Ahora es mi oportunidad!
