B”H
I like to keep things clear and official around here, so here’s Jewish Latin Princess’ Privacy and Cookie policy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, which states that a business should make these policies “concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible.” :-)
This website does not share any of your personal information. That would refer to your name and email address, which you’ve provided me in order to receive news and updates from me about once a week in the form of my newsletter, or a free opt-in. I seriously don’t have time (or, frankly, desire) to do weird and crazy things with your data. Really. I don’t have time to things with MY data.
In sum, the only thing that I have the ability to store (via the email service provider that I pay for – Convertkit) is your name and email. I do not share that information with any third party (Read: I’m not sharing it with anyone). This is just there so I can reach you with the content that you’ve signed up for and hopefully LOVE ;-). Every single email that I send has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are unsubscribed. It takes two seconds.
Cookies is something I know how to bake and that’s about it! I do not store any information about your visit to this website, but if you’re very concerned about those, you may turn off the use of cookies at anytime by changing your specific browser settings. I have no clue on how to use cookies in a weird or spammy way. That means we’re on the right track here!
If you comment on a blog post, you have to enter your email address. I do NOTHING with this. I don’t even know why you have to enter your email address, and if it were up to me, life would be simpler and we could engage in a conversation without entering that address. Hopefully, one day I’ll figure out a way not to ask for an email address when you leave a comment. And by the way, I love each and every comment and try to respond to all!
If you’ve signed up to receive a FREE PDF, well you would have provided your email address because that’s the only way to deliver it. If I ever create an email course, you will probably need to sign up using your email address. I would then send you said course via email.
Also, if you are on my email list, my email service provider (Convertkit) stores your name and your email address, and I might one day use that information to create targeted Facebook ads. But come on, wouldn’t you rather get an ad from me about how to enrich your life as a Jewish woman rather than some ad selling you polyester dresses from China or nastier things I will not mention!? (And by the way I have no clue how to use Facebook ads at this point in time and I’m not intending to learn any time soon, so we really don’t have to worry about that.)
Oh and for the record, I have no idea how a Facebook pixel works, but I doubt it will convince you to give me all of your money. Although if you have an iPhone or an Echo in your house, you probably already know that anytime you think about something you see an ad for it three seconds later. So, there you go, I can’t help you there. Sorry.
I also use Google Analytics, which means I have some code installed on my website, and every so often, I look at the Google Analytics site and see some funky graphs and some numbers that are supposed to be quite helpful. Well, so far, I find them utterly confusing and I’d rather focus on my engagement with you, the users of my website, and creating content that serves you, not on numbers or percentages.
I am not responsible for republished content from this blog on other blogs or websites without my permission. And I really hope no one is actually republishing my content without my permission, because that is plain just not right!
This privacy policy is subject to change without notice and was last updated on May 23, 2018. If you have any questions feel free to contact me directly here.
