B”H

If you follow me on FB, you had heard already that I had been invited to speak at the Annual Ladies’ Spa Retreat hosted by Chabad of Guatemala. I came back on Monday in such a high, having spent a whole weekend with the most beautiful ladies. It was just amazing. Let me show you

Five of our friends had already left the Hacienda by the time we took this picture on Sunday morning.

I shared some of my own experiences, words of Torah, and learned from the Jewish ladies in Guatemala. The topics of my talks were: 1-Aishet Chayil: Today’s Virtuous Woman, 2- Mi casa es Su casa: Kabalistic concepts in Interior Design, 3- Like a Chicken Without a Head: The Pursuit of Happiness, and 4- The Feminine Voice: Chana’s Prayer.

Yael Pelman from Chabad of Guatemala out did herself ensuring that we had an amazing hotel to ourselves and delicious food and an incredibly organized program. Aside from the Torah talks, we enjoyed gourmet food, movie night, zumba, walks in nature, massages… Perfect balance of spirituality and physicality!

I wish I had taken my good camera, but these i-phone shots will give you a sense of where I was. We went to Hacienda Casa Pastores in the outskirts of the city of Antigua. The Spanish Hacienda is about 250 years old and most of the furniture and decor is original. It is absolutely breathtaking.

Unfortunately, I didn’t capture too much of the interiors because the lighting was not great for picture taking, plus I was quite entertained and busy, to be honest.

The magnificent dining room, where we had Shabbat Dinner and breakfast. We had Shabbat lunch outdoors.

This pool. Seriously!?

Thank you to all of you that came and thank you to Yael Pelman, Sharon and everyone else who helped organize such an amazing event. Of course, thank you to my friend Melinda, for referring me to Chabad of Guatemala. I hope the ladies in Guatemala enjoyed having me there. I certainly did and I hope I get to go back to see you all wonderful ladies again!

Feel free to let me know if you think of a Jewish community that would enjoy having me visit for a talk (or a few) ;-).

Have a wonderful rest of your week!
