B”H
Do you remember the previous Wednesday Wink in which reader Victoria told of her Hashgacha Pratit story of winning Jewish Latin Princess’ giveaway? Well this story continues… of course…
A few days after this story, I went to the Jewish Latin Ladies’ gathering that I lead every month in Houston. As we were wrapping our talk about Elul and the power of speech, we went on a tangent and were commenting on that week’s Wednesday Wink and Victoria’s story. One of the ladies, stops us all and says, “the story has a part two…” And proceeds to tell us the following.

Friday morning I was on the phone with my sister in law, who lives in Spain. We were discussing the upcoming wedding of our other cousin in Panama. Weddings in Panama happen to be a big deal affair, often consisting of more than a few family events in addition to the wedding itself. My sister in law told me that given the expense of the tickets plus all the outfits she would have to purchase for her and her kids, they would probably just fly in for the wedding and head right back to Spain. It made her sad to miss all of the family gatherings, festivities etc. But, over all, it would end up being too expensive for her family. In particular, the thought of finding appropriate and tzenua (modest) outfits for each event, for her and her kids, in Spain, and on a budget caused her quite some stress.
She is quite observant, certainly more than me, but I told her, “listen, if it’s meant to be, H” will find a way to provide for this.” And she said, “I know, but to be honest, I feel bad troubling H” with this; seems so trivial.” We wished each other a Shabbat Shalom and we hung up.
Immediately afterwards, I checked my emails and I opened Yael’s Jewish Latin Princess newsletter with Victoria’s Wednesday Wink! I couldn’t believe it when I read it and immediately sent it to my sister in law. She called me a few minutes before Shabbat started in Spain, “Galit, what you just sent me is exactly what I needed to read!”

Coincidence? Mhh I don’t think so… And by the way, would Victoria or I have imagined that publishing that story would result in someone in the other side of the world, getting the “exact message” they needed in their lives? No.
Now, I want to tell you something else… call it Part 3 of this story, or just another piece of the entire puzzle… So that you get an even greater perspective as to how Hashgacha Pratit works and how our lives are just one massive beautiful puzzle with H” working behind the scenes to make every piece fit exactly right….
The sponsored post with Dainty Jewell’s was not meant to be published in August! I had agreed with Dainty Jewell’s to host this sponsored giveaway three weeks before Shavuot! Last, Shavuot! That is, back in May!
Obstacles came in every shape or form. The photographer had a trip to Israel. I got sick. She got sick. The models cancelled. I had a tragedy in the family… You name it, everything that could go wrong, went wrong, and I just couldn’t make this photoshoot happen.
While I knew this was somehow meant to be and I had tried my best, I was still stressed about it. Bottom line, I felt like I had let my sponsor down and had not kept to my end of the agreement. Dainty Jewell’s staff was super understanding, and as always, amazing to work with. But, on my end, you know… I felt bad. B”H it all worked out and I was able to get out an amazing post that got great engagement. Then, after reading Victoria’s story and now Galit’s sister in law story, I see that unbeknownst to me, I obviously published the sponsored post at the right time!
