B”H

Shavua Tov, lovely ladies! We just started the month of Elul. Elul, the month before Rosh Hashanah and the rest of the Yamei Noraim (the High Holidays) is a month of preparation – spiritual preparation, that is. (I talk about my preparations last year here.) Included in these preparations is the custom to have our mezuzot checked during the month of Elul to make sure the parchment is still kosher. In order to give you a little incentive to get your mezuzot checked by a  sofer and/or to get yourself mezuzot for all those doorposts in your house you might have been neglecting, today I’m launching a giveaway for a fabulous mezuzah case in partnership with Apeloig Collection (remember them, from this post?). Listen, if you’re going to have a kosher mezuzah scroll, you better package it in a beautiful mezuzah case! :-) #beautifyingmitzvot

¡Shavua Tov, amigas! :-) #embelleciendolasmitzvot

I own a mezuzah case from Apeloig Collection which proudly sits by the big room of my house as you walk into the house.

Mine is clear acrylic and I absolutely love it. But, the choices of color that Apeloig has is beyond stunning. I’m seriously having a hard time deciding what color to choose for the rest of my door posts. I’m a big fan of the blue and am set on a pink one for my girls’ room.

Ok, now the fun part… One lucky winner will win one Apeloig Collection mezuzah case in the color of her choice. We’ve made it super easy and given you multiple chances to enter our raffle. The contest begins today and ends on Sunday, September 11 at 11:59 CT. Winner will be announced on Monday, September 12. Participants must have a U.S. mailing address. Good luck!

I loved being part of your podcast, I had no idea what to expect and it was refreshing as a Jewish woman to participate in your podcast. Your questions related to what I do, combined with Judaism gave me a lot to think about. I love getting new questions instead of the typical “why did you start the project?” which is important but I’m glad you gave it a twist. I hope your listeners enjoy the interview as much as I enjoyed being part of it! Thanks for challenging me to think about my topic and religion as one.
