The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here and since Tisha B’Av is over I suggest you run grab a few basics at great prices. Before we get to the shopping, I will confess that I always have mixed emotions after Tisha B’Av because I honestly get very hyped up about the possibility of this Exile being finally over and then boom, the fast is over and here we are again. Back to the mundane. Oh well, the good news is that mundane things like Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale can be elevated. So, in that spirit let me show you the Modest Fashion options that I found in there! Great basic pieces that will endure in your closet for a while. And honestly, lately I’m all about a closet full of basic pieces that I can accessorize differently and dress up or down. So, here are modest fashion picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
1|| This White blouse is a classic! Perfect for Yom Kippur service, no?
2|| Feminine Top with Bow – practical, feminine… just perfect! You could see me wearing it every day.
3|| If you like double sleeves, this white top is another cute every day staple, that will take you from summer to fall.
4|| The stripes are so cute in this blue stripe double sleeve top, another closet basic.
5|| This pink top will take you from work, to shul (synagogue), to pretty much anywhere. I personally cannot wear such muted colors, but it’s cute in red as well.
7, 9, 12, 14 || I love a cross over bag because it feels safe to me and I can run around wherever, comfortably. In addition to cross over I like a bag that holds enough stuff but doesn’t allow too much room to fill the bag with shashkes. I like to buy one good bag every few years and this year the sale has some nice options that fit my criteria. With options like 7,9,12,14, it’s going to be hard to choose, they are all great size, practical bags for every day.
8|| Tall boots are always an investment. It’s also one of those things that I buy a good pair every few years. These caught my eye because I’ve been looking to replace my old tall brown boots for a while. I love the camel color which can be worn with pretty much anything, and the fact that they are Ugg brand already tells me they are going to be super comfortable.
10|| Wear this Coral No Closure Blazer with a white t-shirt and an indigo jean skirt and run out the door to meetings. The perfect pop of color!
11|| Madewell Peplun Shirt, another basic to run around with the kids or do errands.
13|| You better believe this Bow Neck Top is coming home with me…unless it’s gone. I better hurry….
Sale ends in just a few days, August 6. Prices go back up August 7. I hope some of these are still left and that this helps you sort through the sale.
