Can’t discuss shopping with you right now… wouldn’t be fair, as we refrain from shopping for new clothes during the Three Weeks. (Although you can ask your local Rav, as there might be exceptions, such as, if you’re going to miss out on a very big sale…) Always good to ask, but in general, not much shopping going on during this time of the Jewish year. But listen, we still shop for our groceries, duh! So, let me tell you about this new discovery of mine… Brandless! Did you hear about them? I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for kosher, healthy food options that don’t break the bank. Enter Brandless!

Brandless just launched on July 11, 2017 and it’s mission is to bring high quality materials and healthy ingredients to consumers, without the BrandTax! BrandTax? Yes, there is a premium for certain brands, which consumers assume is directly correlated with high quality. Mhhhh… not always the case! I looked more into this company and the more I read the more I loved it. And I was so impressed that most of it’s food products are kosher certified and organic! Bravo!!! In addition, they are a socially conscious company, partners with Feeding America. They donate a meal every time a customer purchases at Brandless. Oh did I mention that your order is delivered to your door! Yes, one less trip to the store! Oh wait, and everything is $3.00 or less!!! I am not kidding you!

Here’s how it works. You order through their website.Shipping is free for orders above $72. Shipping is $9 flat for orders less than $72. They offer a B.More™, membership thought which shipping is free for all orders of $48 or more and you receive other great perks. You receive your order in 2-4 days. Not bad at all!

    My daughter Stav had her Bat Mitzvah a few months ago.  I wanted Stav to go into her 'Bat Mitzvah' understanding the meaning of the term, and with the knowledge of how to apply it to her life. Even though she learns in a Jewish Orthodox school, I felt that she needed extra learning and inspiration for her coming of age.  Luckily, I knew Yael from before, and heard that she teaches Bat Mitzvah classes.  I had a feeling that this would be a good match... I wasn't wrong :)

    Yael teaches ancient ideas in a modern way.  Stav came back from classes inspired, thinking and asking herself questions.  I'm thankful that my daughter had the opportunity to learn with Yael for her Bat Mitzvah in a interesting, welcoming and inspiring way.
