Hey guys! Welcome back to Jewish Latin Princess! I’m Yael Trusch, your host. It’s the end of Summer and it’s the month of Elul – we are getting ready for the beginning of the school year and more importantly, for the Month of Tishrei. I will be away for the next two weeks on vacation and leaving you with three episodes per week. A summer playlist that I’ve curated going back through the archives and going wow I remember really liking this episode and/or this guest, and this episode definitely needs a spotlight shined onto it, let’s add it to the playlist. Not easy to choose but definitely these 6 shows I’m leaving you with were some of my favorites from the archives. I’ll be back the week of August 23 with regular programming, interview, minisodes and Ask Yael. Enjoy this awasome summer playlist right here.
Hi Yael – I have two pieces of feedback –
1) the mini-sodes plus the weekly episode is too much – especially for the person who listens to other podcasts as well – it’s overload and will grow stale
2) your episode w Rabbi Lapin was highly offensive – what about every religious family where the husband is studying in Kollel and the stipend is never enough to cover all the children – who do you think is earning the $$ for the dinner and cooking the dinner. I agree that when the wife out earns the husband there has to be a sensitivity there to the ego – a man needs to feel needed – but as long as there is a recognition that both are rowing in the same direction anything is possible. Messages like R’Lapin’s are sadly part of the reason why we don’t see orthodox girls getting the true secular education they deserve and achieving beyond their wildest dreams.
